Hi, I’m Steph!

I’m a musician, writer, and counselor in training working in the intersections of creativity, mental health, and the music industry.

After growing up around and spending the first chapter of my career up and down the California coast, immersed in music nonprofits while simultaneously developing my skills on the creative side as an artist, audio editor, engineer, and writer, it became clear that throughline of it all was a passion for transforming the awe-filled human experience into story and song, and walking beside others as they move through life's cycles. Dedicating myself to these led me to a Master's in Counseling.

Now with roots in North County San Diego and San Francisco, I’m splitting my time between my studies and training, working for the music industry mental health organization Backline, and creating music as Lucky Lamond. Through Unpaved Roads Studio, I also continue to write and contribute to projects around creativity, embodiment, and mental health, like the Women of NAMM podcast ReVoicing the Future.

The Unpaved Roads Substack

I’m currently creating a newsletter on Substack, where I’m exploring the healing power of storytelling, expression, and the modern sacred as I continue my studies, my work in music, and my own art.

Listen to Lucky Lamond

My music as Lucky Lamond weaves elements of traditional Folk, Americana, and classic foot-stomping, clap-along storytelling to celebrate my identities and the human experience. I believe that by telling the stories that make us who we are, we free those coming after to be all they can be.
